Relocation at a moments notice!
One type of relocation or move we all hope never happens is to be forced to evacuate your home in the face of a natural disaster.
However, we all can be prepared when the time comes. In a briefcase or a plastic box keep copies of everything related to your home and your finances. Copies of insurance polices, names and addresses of insurance agents, copies of tax returns, inventories of personal belongings (and a video of the inside of your home), and other personal documents are all important components of your disaster kit.
If you have invaluable and irreplaceable photos or other documents they could also be a part of your getaway package.
Let’s hope you never have to relocate in a hurry, but a little preperation when you have the time will go a long way to smooth things out if you have to evacuate.
